According to SPORT, Andriy Lunin and Dani Ceballos are both on the edge of Real Madrid’s plans under new manager Xabi Alonso.

Both players have spent recent seasons as backups, and now it seems likely they could leave the club this summer if the right offers arrive.

Real Madrid’s policy has always been clear that the door is open for any player who feels their time at the club is over, but they must bring a concrete offer to the table.

Lunin and Ceballos fall into this category. Both have had limited roles in the squad, and with the team moving forward under Alonso, their chances for regular playing time look slim.

Lunin exploring away from Madrid

For Andriy Lunin, the decision to consider an exit is becoming more serious. The Ukrainian goalkeeper has spent another season watching from the bench as Thibaut Courtois dominates the starting role.

Even though Courtois struggled with injuries last season, Lunin knows his situation is unlikely to change. Courtois has fully recovered, and Xabi Alonso is expected to keep him as the number one.

Lunin has now entrusted his future to his agent, Jorge Mendes, who is actively looking for new opportunities.

The Premier League and La Liga are the most likely options, but Lunin is also open to a move to Saudi Arabia, where he would receive a much higher salary and the chance to be a first-choice keeper.

Ceballos could return to Betis

Dani Ceballos is also facing a familiar situation. Despite playing in 22 matches last season, his highest since joining Madrid, his future remains uncertain.

Under Carlo Ancelotti, he was given more chances, but Xabi Alonso has preferred to use Arda Guler, particularly in key games like the Club World Cup.

Whether Ceballos stays or leaves will depend on Real Madrid’s transfer plans. If another midfielder arrives, which is their plan, Ceballos’ path to minutes will narrow even more.

Real Betis remain interested in bringing him back, but Madrid won’t let him go for free. It is now up to Betis or other suitors to make an offer and decide his next step.
