The home crowd in attendance at Real Madrid’s meeting with Real Sociedad this evening made crystal clear their frustrations with one particular personnel selection made by boss Carlo Ancelotti.

The change in question? His decision to haul off Endrick.

Youngster Endrick was afforded a rare starting berth on Tuesday, leading the line in Real Madrid’s Copa del Rey semi-final 2nd-leg showdown with the aforementioned Sociedad.

And after proving himself match-winner in the tie’s opener, the Brazilian was back on target once more in Spain’s capital.

After Ander Barrenetxea put the visitors in front early on, Endrick conjured up a moment of individual brilliance to confidently chip home the game’s equaliser.

Whilst at times erratic, the 18-year-old was a constant threat to La Real’s backline, threatening another goal on several occasions.

In turn, it did not go down at all well when Carlo Ancelotti made the call to hook Endrick from proceedings with just 66 minutes on the clock.

In fact, as per Diario AS, the decision was met with a chorus of whistles and jeers from the home support at the Santiago Bernabéu.
