Supporters of La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Saturday come together to take collective aim at a member of the club’s backline.

The player in question? Dani Carvajal.

Real Madrid are of course currently locked in action on the domestic front, in a league meeting with Osasuna.

To this point in proceedings at El Sadar, however, the visitors have endured a tough time of things.

Struggling on both sides of the ball, Los Blancos find themselves trailing by a goal to nil, owing to an Ante Budimir spot-kick.

Real’s woes come with a whole host of leading members of Álvaro Arbeloa’s squad looking some way short of their brilliant best.

As alluded to above, though, one player has been singled out for more widespread criticism than any other on Saturday evening.

Dani Carvajal was restored to Arbeloa’s backline in Pamplona, a rare start for the veteran following his return from injury last month.

Safe to say, however, that things have since not gone exactly according to plan for Carvajal…

Amid mounting calls for Trent Alexander-Arnold to be introduced in his place, the Spanish international has looked a shell of his former self, giving rise to accusations of Carvajal being ‘finished’ at the top level:
