On Saturday, Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr. did not train with his Brazil teammates and did some individual work inside the gym.
As such, it was claimed that he was a doubt for the Selecao’s upcoming friendly against Croatia in a couple of days.
It raised some concerns about the 25-year-old superstar’s fitness heading into the crucial stage of the season even though it was suggested that he was not injured and his absence from training was precautionary and a case of workload management.
In what will come as a relief for both Brazil and Real Madrid fans, Vinicius has resumed training with the rest of the squad today.
And, as a result, he is now expected to be fit and available for the friendly against Croatia in the USA.
Vinicius started for Brazil earlier this week in a friendly against France but was unable to inspire his team to a victory.
With the 2026 FIFA World Cup on the horizon, he will be eager to help the Canarinha build some momentum by beating Croatia in their final friendly of the current international break.
The 25-year-old talismanic forward will be centrepiece of Carlo Ancelotti’s Brazil setup heading into the World Cup later this year in North America.
Prior to the international break, Vinicius was in good form for Real Madrid, showing signs of being back to his best after going through a difficult last year or so.
And, both Real Madrid and Brazil will be hoping that he is able to sustain that form in the months to come as both teams vie for big trophies.
