Real Madrid & Getafe set for ‘imminent’ transfer deal | OneFootball

La Liga rivals Real Madrid and Getafe are putting the finishing touches on a transfer deal which will see the latter add to their midfield ranks.

That’s according to journalist Álvaro Ramos of Diario AS, who highlights Mario Martín as the player set to bid Real Madrid farewell.

Youngster Martín, for his part, is a 21-year-old midfielder, who has been on the books in Spain’s capital for the last nine years.

The starlet has long been on the fringes of the first-team setup at the Santiago Bernabéu, albeit with only two La Liga appearances under his belt to date.

Held in high regard across the Spanish football landscape, speculation had therefore begun to mount over recent months that Martín could be on the move this summer.

And as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the media over the last 24 hours is anything to go by, then such a deal can now be considered as good as ‘imminent’.

‘Mario Martín, signing imminent. Getafe will soon announce their 7th addition of the season.’
