When the time came to leave Monaco and take the next step in his career in 2017, Kylian Mbappé made the decision to join PSG. In a recent interview with Movistar, the France captain revealed the reasons behind his choice: "When I left Monaco, I had a very clear goal: to play. Because I was 18 and I wanted to play for Real. There was Karim (Benzema), Cristiano (Ronaldo), Gareth (Bale). And I didn’t want to be on the bench. All the big European clubs were telling me I would be a starter. And I knew that at Real, with all the respect they had for me, I wouldn’t have played every match," he said.
