Real Madrid narrow manager shortlist to 2 names | OneFootball

The brass at La Liga giants Real Madrid have narrowed their search for a new head coach to just two names.

Los Blancos are of course currently scouring the market for a new presence on the bench for the 2026/27 campaign.

With Álvaro Arbeloa having failed to sufficiently impress across his stint as interim boss in Spain’s capital, Florentino Pérez and co. have kickstarted a search for a tactician capable of leading Real Madrid into a prosperous new era.

A whole host of high-profile names from across the continent have in turn been tipped as a potential arrivals at the Bernabéu.

The understanding, though, is that this shortlist has now been whittled down to just a pair of names…

As per a report from El Chiringuito TV:

‘Jürgen Klopp and José Mourinho are the final candidates to coach Real Madrid.’

The name of Didier Deschamps has also been floated behind the scenes in Madrid, albeit with the Frenchman considered a backup choice in the case of neither Klopp nor Mourinho being attainable.
