Real Madrid remain calm regarding Vinicius Jr.’s future amid interest from Saudi Arabia due to his contract, which runs until 2027 and includes a €1 billion release clause, reports COPE.
However, the Spanish champions are frustrated by the player’s recent statements, which they find contradictory – he has expressed both his desire to stay and acknowledged the interest from the Middle East.
Saudi Arabia continues its pursuit of Vinicius with an extraordinary financial proposal. The Brazilian winger’s agents recently received an offer in Prague from Saad Al Lazeez, Vice President of the Saudi Pro League.
The deal includes a salary of €1 billion over five seasons and the opportunity for Vinicius to serve as an ambassador for the 2034 FIFA World Cup, set to be hosted by Saudi Arabia.
Real Madrid, though, remain unconcerned from a contractual standpoint. With two and a half years left on Vinicius’ deal and a €1 billion release clause, they believe it is highly unlikely that any team could lure him away.
However, Real Madrid are displeased with the media frenzy surrounding the 24-year-old. The club understands that these reports are likely being leaked strategically, but it worries about their potential impact on both Vinicius and the team’s overall performance.

Moreover, the club is confused and unhappy with Vinicius’ latest remarks, which they consider inconsistent.
After being named Man of the Match in Real Madrid’s victory against Manchester City, Vinicius addressed his future in an interview with Movistar, saying:
“They have not spoken to me yet. I think I need to talk to the president and the people involved. Hopefully, I can stay here for a long time because this is my home. This competition always gives us something extra, and I want to make history.”
Later, in an interview with TNT Sports, he reaffirmed: “I have always said that my desire is to stay at Real Madrid. I will finalise my contract negotiations in the coming days.”
Real Madrid have no plans to sell Vinicius but firmly believe that contract renewals are dictated by the club, not the players.
As reported earlier today, Real Madrid have inquired about his financial expectations, his representatives have communicated them to the club, and they are currently awaiting a response from the club’s management.
For now, Real Madrid remain committed to keeping Vinicius, but the ongoing speculation and the player’s mixed messages have created a situation that the club finds both unnecessary and frustrating.
