Real Madrid have offered Vinicius Junior a new contract worth around €22 million per year, according to ESPN Brasil.
However, the Brazilian forward wants €30m annually to extend his stay in Spain.
Vinicius has entered the final year of his contract with Madrid, and the two parties have yet to reach an agreement over a new deal.
His situation has attracted interest from Arsenal, who are keen to bring him to the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners have signed Christos Tzolis, but further attacking reinforcements are needed with Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli expected to leave.
Madrid could decide to sell Vinicius if he doesn’t lower his salary demands. The La Liga giants would want €160m to part ways with him.
Vinicius is widely regarded as one of the best attackers in the world, known for his pace, trickery and goal threat.
He is a key player for Los Blancos, bagging 128 goals and 100 assists in 375 appearances.
Arsenal would need to spend a record fee to secure a deal for the Brazil international. They will look to lower Madrid’s valuation, or switch their attention elsewhere.
