In a recent revelation made by Fichajes, it has come to light that Real Madrid have raised their asking price for Dani Ceballos to €30 million, a figure that has so far discouraged interested clubs from making concrete offers.

It is known that while the midfielder is eager to find regular playing time ahead of the 2026 World Cup, the financial demands from Madrid have made an exit difficult.

Ceballos has made it clear that he wants continuity, a key factor if he is to earn a spot in Spain’s national team. However, despite being fit and available during the Club World Cup, he was not a central figure in Xabi Alonso’s plans.

Even with Eduardo Camavinga out injured, Alonso chose to rely on Luka Modric, a player who has now left the club.

This move has been widely seen as an indication that Ceballos has yet to fully convince the coaching staff.

Internal support, but limited chances

Although Ceballos may not be a regular starter, he is still appreciated by some within the dressing room for his leadership, passion, and understanding of the club.

Yet, appreciation alone may not be enough. The reality is that he is at a crucial point in his career and needs minutes on the pitch to prove his worth.

Currently, no team has come forward with an offer that satisfies both Real Madrid’s valuation and the player’s desire for a meaningful role.

Unless a late bid arrives, it looks increasingly likely that Ceballos will stay and fight for a place in the squad.

A make-or-break season ahead

Alonso is reportedly interested in signing a new midfielder before the transfer window closes. However, if no reinforcement comes in, Ceballos may remain by default rather than design.

That said, the 2025/26 season could be his final opportunity to prove he belongs at one of the world’s biggest clubs.

If no serious offer emerges in the coming weeks, Ceballos must prepare himself for a season of competition, where every performance could determine whether he earns a renewed future at Madrid.
