Real Madrid are gearing up for a crucial period as they look to finalise their coach for the season ahead.
A number of top coaches have been linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu this summer, including Jose Mourinho, Didier Deschamps, and Mauricio Pochettino.
However, Jurgen Klopp has been the standout name so far, with Real Madrid willing to prioritise him over any other option, including Mourinho.
But there is not much certainty whether Klopp would like to leave his current role at Red Bull and return to coaching. Real Madrid, therefore, have set some strict guardrails.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid maintains that Klopp has to make the first move if he is to become the next coach at Santiago Bernabeu.
This is a non-negotiable ask from Los Blancos, who do not want to disturb Klopp or the Red Bull group.

Klopp, after all, holds a key position within the Red Bull sports chain of command, serving as the global sports director who oversees operations across all of the franchise’s global teams.
This includes the likes of RB Leipzig, New York, Paris FC, Leeds United, RB Omiya and RB Bragantino.
Keeping that in mind, Real Madrid do not want to make the first move. But they are ready to prioritise a move for Klopp if he makes the first move and informs his desire to coach Los Blancos.
Until then, the Spanish giants are expected to look at other candidates, including Mourinho, who is reportedly ready to return to the Bernabeu, 13 years after his first spell.
Mourinho has worked closely with Florentino Perez in the past and would be a stopgap solution for Los Blancos.
