Real Madrid & Real Betis reach transfer agreement | OneFootball

La Liga rivals Real Madrid and Real Betis have this week closed an agreement for the transfer of defender Fran García.

This comes amid confirmation of the Spaniard preparing to take his talents to Seville for the seasons to come.

Left-back Fran has of course been hotly tipped for a Real Madrid departure throughout the summer to date. Following the arrival of Marc Cucurella at the Bernabéu, the 26-year-old found himself bumped down to 3rd-choice in new boss José Mourinho’s squad.

Held in high regard across La Liga, a number of clubs are in turn understood to have expressed a keen interest in bringing Fran in with a view to next season.

And as alluded to above, on Wednesday, one such suitor have beaten out the competition to strike a deal.

As per a report from market insider Fabrizio Romano:

‘Fran García to Real Betis, here we go! Deal signed with Real Madrid for €4m fee, 50% sell-on clause remaining to Madrid and medical booked.

‘García said yes to Betis and will become their new left-back.’
