Real Madrid may have just received an unexpected lift in their search for a new manager ahead of next season.
According to an update from L’Equipe, Jurgen Klopp is not fully satisfied with his current role as Red Bull’s global director of football.
It is said that a little more than a year after taking up the position, the former Liverpool boss could already be considering an exit in the summer.
The report suggests that the sporting situation within the Red Bull group has not met expectations.
This is because RB Leipzig currently sit fifth in the Bundesliga and are still fighting to secure Champions League qualification.
Meanwhile, RB Salzburg were knocked out early in the Europa League group stage.
There are also concerns about instability in the managerial positions at both clubs, something that has reportedly reflected poorly on Klopp in his director role.

While he was brought in to create structure and long-term stability, results on the pitch have not matched the ambition.
For Real Madrid, this situation could open a door, as the Spanish giants are actively exploring options for next season after struggles under Alvaro Arbeloa following Xabi Alonso’s dismissal.
Consistency has been lacking, and the club hierarchy is understood to be assessing long-term solutions.
Just a month ago, Klopp addressed rumours linking him with Madrid, dismissing them as “it’s just media hype.”
However, football moves quickly and if tensions at Red Bull continue and the project fails to stabilise, his stance could change.
Real Madrid are known for acting extremely decisively when opportunities arise, and if Klopp becomes available, they would not hesitate to position themselves strongly.
