Real Madrid and Bayern Munich meet once again in the UEFA Champions League, this time in the quarter-finals.
The first leg of the tie will take place on Tuesday, 7 April, at the Santiago Bernabeu, with the second leg scheduled for a week later on 15 April at the Allianz arena.
Real Madrid approach the match under pressure after their recent defeat to RCD Mallorca, a result that has effectively ended their hopes of winning La Liga this season.
As the two European heavyweights prepare to meet again, Real Madrid will look to draw confidence from their strong record against Bayern on the continental stage.
The fixture between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich is the most played in Champions League history, with the two sides having faced each other 28 times.
The overall record favours the Spanish capital club, who have won 13 matches, drawn four and lost 11.

Recent history also supports Real Madrid. The team are unbeaten in their last nine meetings with the Bavarians, recording seven victories and two draws.
They have also eliminated the German champions in their last four knockout encounters, three in the semi-finals and one in the quarter-finals.
Notably, in each of the last four occasions that Real Madrid have eliminated Bayern Munich, they have gone on to win the Champions League.
The most recent of those ties came during their run to their 15th European title in 2023/24, when late goals from Joselu at the Santiago Bernabeu secured their place in the final in London.
Real Madrid will hope to draw inspiration from their strong record against Bayern Munich as they hope to progress to the semi-finals of the Champions League.
