The ongoing season has been one to forget for Real Madrid, in particular for some players such as Eduardo Camavinga.
The 23-year-old Frenchman, who was expected to establish himself as a key member of the team’s midfield unit, has struggled to no end.
Injuries, lack of consistency, errors on the field when he has played have all contributed to the midfielder’s difficult situation this term, with the red card against Bayern Munich in the UCL quarter-final, in particular, earning him a lot of criticism.
Naturally, it had given way to speculations about Camavinga’s future at the club, with reports in Spain suggesting that Real Madrid were open to offers.
However, according to the latest update from journalist Jorge C Picon, Real Madrid have decided not to sell Camavinga in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Indeed, as things stand, Los Blancos have absolutely no plans of selling Camavinga, with the player himself not looking for a way out either.
This comes on the back of reports that Real Madrid had already knocked back an enquiry from German giants Borussia Dortmund for the 23-year-old midfielder.
Camavinga still has more than three years left on his contract at Real Madrid, which runs until 2029. For now, despite speculations, a transfer is not being considered by both the player and the club.
Overall this season, Camavinga has played 43 matches in all competitions (2199 minutes), but only 23 have come as starts. He has scored three and assisted one goal in the process.

The former Rennes wonderkid has missed eight matches due to multiple fitness issues over the course of the campaign.
There was even a phase under Alvaro Arbeloa where Camavinga was overtaken by teenage academy prospect Thiago Pitarch in the pecking order, with the 18-year-old starting important games against the likes of Manchester City and Bayern ahead of the Frenchman.
But with Jose Mourinho set to take over the reins of the team, Camavinga will have a chance to prove himself to the new manager and earn his place back.
