Real Madrid reportedly view Liverpool as a 'brother'. I'm not sure the Reds see it that way.
Marca reports that Liverpool are viewed as a 'brother club' by Real Madrid. It's come up as Los Blancos consider a move for Trent Alexander-Arnold.
You see, Real want to sign the Scouser and intend to do so on a free transfer in 2025. The injury to Dani Carvajal, however, has changed their timeline - they need a right-back in January.
And so Madrid will attempt to negotiate with Liverpool over a fee. Maybe they can get Alexander-Arnold in early and compete for the UEFA Champions League with him in the team.
But they're careful of ruining what's a really good relationship with Liverpool. They're not going to try anything underhanded - they're after smooth negotiations to see what comes of it.
Are they taking the p***?
