Over the summer transfer window, PSG winger Bradley Barcola saw his name in the rumor mill. With such a stacked and competitive squad, it’s understandable that some players want more playing time elsewhere.
Barcola had moments finding it challenging to break through, competing against talents like Désiré Doué and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, which has sparked transfer talk.
In July, RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins reported two things needed to happen for Barcola to leave PSG: The player needs to want out, and the club has to get an offer over €100 million. Nonetheles, neither of those things happened, even with interest from Liverpool and others.

Fichajes reports that Real Madrid have set their sights on Barcola as a potential replacement for Rodrygo, who may be on his way out this season. The club is eager to strengthen its attack with promising young talent, and Barcola checks that box.
PSG, however, aren’t looking to part ways. The French side are instead working on a contract extension that would keep him in Paris until 2030, making any move difficult in the short term.
Barcola has reportedly expressed his satisfaction at PSG, highlighting both his development at the club and the strong relationships he’s built with teammates and the coaching staff. He has started most matches, though the arrival of new players has increased competition for minutes and could impact his future.
For now, Barcola is still considered an important player for PSG. Even so, Real Madrid’s reported interest remains, as the club continue to monitor his progress and may act if the right opportunity arises.
As for Rodrygo, Estadiodeportivo reports that Manchester City are once again showing interest in Rodrygo, having already explored his signing last summer. Pep Guardiola has long admired the Brazilian and believes he would slot seamlessly into his attacking system.
It will be interesting to see if Real Madrid does make a serious push for Barcola.
