One of the major issues Real Madrid have encountered in the ongoing season has been the lack of a constant creative presence from midfield.

The failure to replace quality players like Toni Kroos and Luka Modric effectively has come back to haunt the Merengues.

While Arda Guler showed glimpses of quality early on in the season, his form has dipped in recent weeks. The uncertainty surrounding Jude Bellingham’s best position has only added to the problem.

Vitinha – the impossible dream

Now, according to Jorge Picon, within Real Madrid there is full awareness that the team need a creative midfielder. And, in light of this situation, the club have kept their radar active in search of new profiles.

As has been reported by multiple sources, the journalist also corroborates that PSG superstar Vitinha is a player on Real Madrid’s radars.

However, the Portuguese international, seen as the ‘great dream’ by Los Blancos is also considered ‘almost impossible’ to sign.

After all, PSG have tied down Vitinha to a long-term contract until 2029, having renewed his deal in February earlier this year.

Moreover, given how integral he is to the Parisians, as well as the tense relationship between the them and Real Madrid, a deal for the midfielder, who finished third in the 2025 Ballon d’Or rankings, was always going to be unlikely.

There have been talks of Real Madrid moving for Vitinha in the summer, especially if Vinicius Jr.’s contract renewal talks fall through and the club have to part ways with him.

However, as things stand, despite strong admiration for the PSG playmaker, Real Madrid consider a transfer for him as nearly impossible.
