La Liga giants Real Madrid had scouts in attendance at the World Cup clash between Morocco and Scotland.

This came with a view to keeping an eye on the performance put forth by Moroccan prodigy Ayyoub Bouaddi.

Youngster Bouaddi has of course spent the last week announcing himself onto the world stage of football. Long considered one of the standout talents in Ligue 1 owing to his exploits with Lille, the midfielder has been afforded back-to-back starts at this summer’s international showcase.

Still just 18 years of age, Bouaddi has not looked at all out of place, thriving under the bright lights en route to four points from six for African heavyweights Morocco.

The starlet’s most recent showing came late on Friday evening, as his country locked horns with Scotland.

And watching on as the Atlas Lions emerged on the right side of a 1-0 result, as alluded to above, were representatives from Spanish heavyweights Real Madrid.

Amid an ongoing search for reinforcements in the middle of the park, Los Blancos are understood to have earmarked Bouaddi as a potential summer signing.

According to journalist Ruben Martin of Diario AS, members of the scouting department at Valdebebas are therefore keeping a close eye on his performances in North America.
