This comes after the Brazilian’s staggering stretch without a goal continued…

Real Madrid are of course currently locked in action on the domestic front, in a La Liga meeting with minnows Elche.

Late in proceedings in Alicante, though, Los Blancos find themselves trailing by a goal to nil.

The aforementioned Rodrygo was for his part afforded a rare start for the matchup, a chance to impress Xabi Alonso and his staff.

As alluded to above, however, another largely ineffective performance saw the 24-year-old fail the test once again.

And in the process, Rodrygo made history…
