Real Madrid star Raúl Asencio has taken to social media, to provide his response to the abusive chants aimed in his direction this past weekend.

Stopper Asencio was for his part in from the off on Sunday, as Real Madrid made the trip to Mendizorrotza for a La Liga meeting with Deportivo Alavés.

And en route to an eventual 2-1 triumph for Los Blancos, the Spaniard enjoyed another solid outing.

Souring an otherwise positive evening’s work for Asencio, though, were a round of chants aimed in his direction by the home crowd.

Specifically, chants of ‘Asencio, scum, get out of Vitoria’ were heard raining down from the Mendizorrotza stands.

Early this week, the 22-year-old therefore made use of the opportunity to get his own back.

After playing a central role in Xabi Alonso’s troops securing a much-needed return to winning ways, Asencio took to the comments section of an ‘X’ post highlighting Sunday’s chants, responding:

‘Great match. +3!’
