Brahim Diaz has been enjoying life at Real Madrid, but he is eager to take on a more prominent role within the squad.
In fact, according to Mario Cortegana in The Athletic, while he remains content at the club and settled in the Spanish capital, he aspires to be an integral part of the team rather than just a rotational option.
His desire to play a bigger role was evident during Real Madrid’s recent clash with Atletico Madrid. With Jude Bellingham suspended, Brahim was handed the challenging task of filling in for the English superstar.
Despite the pressure, the Moroccan did not shy away from the occasion. In fact, he delivered a decisive moment that secured the victory for Los Blancos.
Just ten minutes into the second half, Brahim produced a moment of brilliance to put Real Madrid ahead. The stadium erupted in celebration, and the player himself could not contain his emotions.
What caught attention even more was his reaction after scoring. He repeatedly directed words towards the Atletico Madrid coach, seemingly sending a message.

For what it is worth, Brahim’s contributions extend beyond just goals and assists. This season, he has already recorded six goals and seven assists, but his work rate and commitment make him invaluable.
He is the kind of player willing to sprint back to recover possession deep in his own half, as seen in the 86th minute of the same match. That particular effort left him struggling with cramps, but it showcased his relentless drive and determination.
Despite his efforts, Brahim does not yet have the privilege of being a guaranteed starter under Carlo Ancelotti.
The intense competition for places means he has to fight for every opportunity, but he is determined to make his case. He wants to be more than just a squad player—he wants to prove that he deserves a key role in this team.
With Bellingham set to return for the second leg at the Metropolitano, the battle for starting spots will be even tougher. However, Brahim will be hoping that his recent performances have convinced Ancelotti to trust him in such a crucial fixture.
As Real Madrid aim to advance to the quarter-finals, likely against Arsenal, Brahim’s hunger to make an impact will only continue to grow.
