La Liga giants Real Madrid are expected to be without the services of defensive star Ferland Mendy for around three weeks.
This comes after the Frenchman suffered a fresh injury setback.
Left-back Mendy has of course seen his name dominate the headlines in Spain’s capital over recent hours.
As much comes after Real Madrid announced that the 30-year-old, who managed his season debut just last week, is primed for another incoming spell on the treatment table:
‘Following tests carried out today on our player Ferland Mendy by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a muscle injury in the biceps femoris of his right leg. His recovery will be monitored.’
Real Madrid’s statement did not include any kind of information regarding how long Mendy is likely to be out of action.
But an insight into as much has since been provided, by Blancos insider Melchor Ruiz of COPE.
The understanding is that Mendy has been condemned to a spell of around three weeks away from the pitch.
