Real Madrid star Trent Alexander-Arnold is primed to return to the club’s starting line-up for their upcoming meeting with Valencia.
That’s according to Diario AS, who have provided an insight into the latest ongoings behind the scenes in Spain’s capital.
Real Madrid are of course fresh off seeing their right-back options take a heavy hit.
After Dani Carvajal returned from a spell on the sidelines off the bench against Barcelona last weekend, the Spanish international immediately picked up a fresh problem.
He is in turn expected to be out of action for the foreseeable future.
Xabi Alonso, as a result, has been left with only one natural senior right-back for the months ahead – Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Just back from his own spell on the treatment table, summer signing Alexander-Arnold was an unused substitute in El Clásico.
As confirmed by AS, though, there’s ‘no doubt’ that the former Liverpool man will be in from the off against Valencia this Saturday.
So will begin an important run of games for Alexander-Arnold, who is yet to fully prove himself in the colours of Real Madrid.
