After much speculation, it appears Alphonso Davies could be all set to renew his contract at Bayern Munich.
This is inspite of Real Madrid’s active interest in the defender, who is demanding a major salary hike in order to continue in Bavaria.
Real Madrid, therefore, are now back to square one and might now start considering the possibility of going after other alternatives in the market.
Fortunately, Real Madrid have no shortage of options in the market, with a recent report from AS detailing out the club’s plan B if the Davies deal falls through.
As per the report, Real Madrid are expected to go choose between Miguel Gutierrez and Fran Garcia if Davies ends up continuing at Bayern.

Garcia has been playing for Los Blancos for a couple of years now, but has not been able to make any noticeable impact at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Gutierrez, on the other hand, is another ex-Madrid youth prospect who is currently plying his trade at Girona.
The Spaniard has enjoyed immense success at Girona, which has caught the attention of Los Merengues, with the club having a €8 million buyback option for him.
When the times comes, Real Madrid must decide whether or not to bring in Gutierrez as a direct replacement for Garcia, or to continue with the latter.
One thing is for sure – Ferland Mendy is all set to stay at the Bernabeu despite failing to replicate his performances from last season. The Frenchman has already signed a new contract with the club until 2027.
Real Madrid’s idea will be to continue with options such as Mendy, Garcia or Gutierrez until they find another market opportunity to land a top player such as Davies.
