Antonio Rudiger has established himself as one of the pivotal players of Carlo Ancelotti’s setup at Real Madrid since arriving from Chelsea in 2022.
The 32-year-old German international, however, has not been at his brilliant best this season as he has been playing through chronic physical problems.
That, coupled with the fact that his contract expires in 2026 and Real Madrid’s need to refresh their defensive options, have led to speculations over Rudiger’s future.
However, according to Mario Cortegana, Rudiger has no plans to leave Real Madrid in the summer despite attracting interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia.
The German international’s priority remains continuing with the Spanish and European champions beyond the ongoing season.

In fact, the report states that renewal talks are already underway between Real Madrid and Rudiger to secure his continuity.
As per the update, talks are progressing well, with the club offering the former Chelsea ace a deal with a release clause of €100 million as well a higher salary than what he currently earns.
So far this season, Rudiger has played 46 matches across all competitions for Los Blancos, even chipping in with three goals and one assist.
Since joining Real Madrid almost three years ago, the German defender has won eight trophies, including two in the ongoing campaign.
A player beloved within the dressing room and by the fans, everything suggests that Rudiger will sign a new contract and continue at the Santiago Bernabeu, with talks over a renewal progressing well.
