RB Leipzig star Yan Diomandé appears to have taken the situation surrounding his proposed transfer to La Liga giants Real Madrid into his own hands.

This comes amid the understanding that the winger on Saturday pulled out of Leipzig’s travelling squad bound for a pre-season training camp in Austria.

The reason? As per German transfer journalist, a sudden bout of illness…

Wide-man Diomandé has of course seen his name dominate the Spanish media headlines over the course of the last week. After word was forthcoming that Real Madrid had joined the hunt for the Ivorian, Los Blancos quickly muscled themselves to the front of the queue.

From here, an agreement was found with Diomandé’s entourage, with a similar accord understood to be mere details away from being set in stone with Leipzig.

Evidently keen not to throw his move to world football’s biggest club into danger, the 19-year-old has therefore made the call not to report for duty with his current employers, hopeful of his move to La Liga being made official at some point over the next 48 hours.
