Since leaving Real Madrid in the summer of 2024 for Como 1907, Nico Paz has made great strides to become one of the best young players in Serie A.
The Argentine attacking midfield prodigy did not take long to establish himself as a key player in Cesc Fabregas’ side in his debut season and has carried on in his merry ways this term.
In three games this season, Nico has already scored two goals, included a brilliant strike against Bologna on Monday.
Given his growth, Real Madrid plan to bring Nico Paz back to the club next summer by activating their buyback clause for the 21-year-old starlet, reports Fabrizio Romano.
Los Blancos always held their homegrown player in high regard, and as such, made sure to retain control over his future while letting him leave in 2024.

As part of the agreement, Real Madrid have a buyback clause worth only €10 million for 2026, which they plan on activating to bring him back to the club.
Nico was courting a lot of interest from many clubs this past summer, but Como did not wish to part ways with him while the player himself wanted to continue at the Italian outfit.
Real Madrid, from behind the scenes, also pulled some strings to ensure that Nico stayed at Como, so that he can be re-signed in 2026.
Considering that Como turned down much higher offers from Tottenham and other suitors for the youngster, there is likely to be some negotiation between Real Madrid and the Italians to agree some form of compensation beyond the €10 million buyback clause.
But what is certain is that Real Madrid want young Nico as part of their project and will bring him back to the Bernabeu next year.
