Real Madrid are perpetually active in terms of scouting young talents, and they have made it clear that the midfield could be a department they look to reinforce through such signings next summer.
As relayed by Defensa Central in a recent report, Olympiacos’ teenage star Christos Mouzakitis is on Los Blancos’ radar as a potential target for the same as they admire his quality in advancing play through the middle and his passing range.
In fact, the report adds that they see him to be the next ‘Luka Modric’ and thus hope that he can fill the void left by the Croatian star’s departure last summer.
As forwarded by the Spanish outlet, the men in white are maintaining a very close eye on Mouzakitis but are not alone in his pursuit.
Clubs including Benfica, Porto, AC Milan, Manchester United and Arsenal have shown interest in his recruitment and thus serve as competitors for Real Madrid.

For Olympiacos, needless to say, the overwhelming interest only serves as a trigger to hike their asking price.
While Mouzakitis’ current market value only stands at €15 million, the fact that so many elite clubs are looking to sign him coupled with the fact that his current contract runs until 2029 have led the Greek giants to demand €40 million for his signing.
They will not accept a dime less than that sum.
Real Madrid, however, are considering placing a bid of €25 million for his signing and it remains to be seen if anything can come of the same.
So far this season, the 18-year-old has already made five league starts and as many UEFA Champions League appearances for Olympiacos. He notably played all 90 minutes in Real Madrid’s recent 4-3 win over his team as well.
