Real Madrid youngster set for summer departure

A member of the youth setup at La Liga giants Real Madrid is closing on an imminent departure from the club.
That’s according to Marca, who point towards Jeremy de León as the player in question.
The name of yougster De León will likely be a recognisable one to many of a Real Madrid persuasion, after the Puerto Rican was frequently included in Carlo Ancelotti’s travelling parties for Champions League fixtures during the 2023/24 season.
Considered something of a good luck charm, De León was drafted in all the way through the tournament’s finale, as Real Madrid triumphed on the continent once more.
Since, however, the 21-year-old has endured an altogether tough time of things in Spain’s capital.
Owing to a string of injury problems, De León managed just four appearances for Real Madrid Castilla across the recently-completed campaign.
And as much, as alluded to above, looks set to culminate in the attacker’s permanent exit over the weeks ahead.
As per a report from Marca, not part of the plans of incoming Castilla boss Álvaro Arbeloa:
‘Jeremy de León’s days at Real Madrid are numbered. The player has a contract until 2026, but in principle, there will be no problems between the two parties in finalizing his departure.’
De León is understood to have proposals on the table from a number of clubs for next season.
