Rede Globo to show Flamengo v Cruzeiro Libertadores last-16 tie nationwide, exclusively

Rede Globo will broadcast Flamengo v Cruzeiro in the Libertadores last 16 across Brazil. According to Coluna Do Fla, the interstate clássico has been selected for nationwide coverage.

Disney channels also hold Libertadores rights and had sought to air the match, but contractual priority lies with Rede Globo, which has opted for an exclusive broadcast.

Conmebol has scheduled the ties for 12 and 19 August, with the return game at the Maracanã as Flamengo will decide the tie at home.

Flamengo finished as the overall top side in the group phase, which grants them home advantage for second legs in the last 16, quarter-finals and semi-finals.

Before facing Cruzeiro, Flamengo play Chapecoense away on 22 July in Chapecó in the 19th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.
