According to Le Progres, the refereeing department’s matchday 25 debrief confirmed OL’s stoppage-time penalty against Paris FC was correctly awarded under the Laws of the Game. Corentin Tolisso converted to earn a 1-1 draw.
The incident followed an Adil Hamdani cross that struck Alimami Gory’s hand. After an on-field review at the monitor, referee Eric Wattelier awarded the penalty.
The Paris FC No. seven had positioned his arm on the ball’s trajectory, increasing the surface covered by his body. Contact with the ball was clear, which constitutes an offence under Law 12.
As required, the video officials also checked the entire attacking phase that preceded the handball. Particular attention fell on Lyon No. eight, Corentin Tolisso, whose offside position was not punishable because he did not take an active part as defined by Law 11.
There were no protests over the handball at the time, and the review supported the referee’s decision.
