Regan Graver previews Richmond Park v Brentford Women | OneFootball

Brentford Women defender Regan Graver says the side won’t get ahead of themselves ahead of Sunday’s clash with Richmond Park despite sitting top of the London South East Division One North table.

The Bees make the short trip to Corinthian-Casuals Football Club looking to extend their 100 per cent league record (2pm kick-off GMT).

A win last time out over Whyteleafe saw Karleigh Osborne’s side move up to first place, two points clear of Bromley - who are the opponents when Brentford Women return to Gtech Community Stadium on Sunday 23 March - in second.

The west Londoners have also played one game less than their promotion rivals.

“Looking at the table, obviously being top now with have a game in hand over Bromley, I think it really is a case of taking every game as it comes, not thinking too far ahead and not getting ahead of ourselves,” said Graver.

"We're just sticking with what we know, what we can do and taking every game as it comes with the idea in mind of where we want to be at the end of the season.”

The Bees have been in superb form on the road this season with five wins from as many games, scoring 30 goals and conceding just three.

The last two away league fixtures have seen Osborne’s side keep two clean sheets, something Graver wants to continue moving forward.

“We had a great run of home games just before Christmas and so I think now it’s so much more important that for the away games, we remain strong, we remain together and make sure that we’re carrying the momentum even though it’s away from home,” she explained.

“The clean sheets for me as a defender are the most important thing, we’ll leave [Chloe] Logie, Cheats [Ashley Cheatley] and Nikki [Woods] to score the goals.

“For us as a defensive unit, I think it’s so important to keep those clean sheets and for the team in general, I think it really gives us a great mindset to know that we’re scoring goals but we’re not conceding any.”

Last time out

Brentford cruised to a 14-0 win over Whyteleafe with Logie scoring six goals and Cheatley netting four.

The victory was the Bees' second over Whyteleafe this season and with Bromley in cup action at the weekend, saw them move to the top of the table.

Previously against Richmond Park, Osborne’s side dominated from start to finish to win 15-0 at home.

Logie and Cheatley scored five goals each, while Woods, Samantha Read, Lucy Potter, Carolin Engelhard and Paula Holguin each added one.

Richmond Park go into Sunday’s clash sat 11th in the table, seven points adrift of safety.

They started the New Year in fine form, beating Whyteleafe 7-1 in a dominant display, but have since lost four successive games across all competitions, with their latest outing a 13-0 defeat to Leatherhead.

Carla Hobbs has led the way up front, tallying seven goals to date.

Last time out

After three-straight wins across all competitions, Brentford fell to a 7-0 defeat to Leyton Orient.

The Bees had been in fine goalscoring form prior to the clash, tallying 14 goals in three games, however they couldn’t stop a strong O's outfit.

Brentford lost 3-1 against Camden at Bedfont Sports Club in the previous meeting between the sides.

Chelsie Berry's equaliser saw the sides go in level at half-time but the visitors scored twice after the break to claim the points.

Camden Town have enjoyed a strong season to date. They are currently third in the table, seven points behind leaders Hammersmith but with three games in hand.

The only blemish on their 2025 record so far was a competitive 4-2 loss to Brentford Women in the Capital Cup.
