Release clause set for Leipzig-linked coach Demichelis | OneFootball

Sky Germany's sources understand that Martin Demichelis' release clause is reported to be fixed at around €2.5million.

The news of this pricetag comes as a talking point given the Argentine has been linked with the role of RB Leipzig head coach.

However, the pay-TV channel notes that a potential deal is not finalized and an overall deal is not that far progressed yet.

Futhermore, thee clause has not been activated, but Demichelis is still Leipzig's top candidate should Ole Werner be dismissed.

Werner's position – despite only one full season in charge of the Saxony club – is precarious and he seems out of favour at Red Bull. 

Ultimately, the 38-year-old has not yet been released, although a decision is expected soon with negotiations currently ongoing.
