Real Madrid have had a poor start to the week so far. Shortly after Dani Ceballos’ was ruled out for two months on the sidelines, French duo Aurelien Tchouameni and Ferland Mendy had to leave the camp due to fresh injuries.

Mendy picked up a knock in his right tibia and had to leave the French national team camp. Merely hours later, his Real Madrid teammate Tchouameni followed suit, due to a blow to his left foot.

Fresh knocks to both Mendy and Tchouameni have created a sense of panic within the Real Madrid camp, especially considering the club’s alarming lack of depth.

However, Real Madrid supporters can rest easy as recent injuries to Tchouameni and Mendy don’t appear to be quite serious.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that Mendy’s injury was not serious at all and that it was a minor discomfort. In fact, the French left-back could be back in time to feature against Real Sociedad.

Now, a recent report from Rodra P suggests even Tchouameni’s injury is not that serious and his exit from the French NT camp was merely a precaution.

The report adds that both Tchouameni should recover during the international break and prepare for the next La Liga encounter against Real Sociedad.

The potential availability of both Mendy and Tchoaumeni against Real Sociedad could be a boon for Real Madrid, who have limited options in both defence and midfield.

Los Blancos, though, are likely to proceed without caution and if the two fail to recover fully, it won’t be surprising to see Carlo Ancelotti deploying alternatives such as Fran Garcia and Arda Guler.
