The Club’s Remembrance activations will take place when Liverpool visit the Etihad Stadium, with this weekend’s Premier League match taking place on Remembrance Sunday.

Prior to the match, a service will take place in the Club’s Memorial Garden, where Mike Summerbee will lay a wreath alongside members of the Former Players Association and the Club’s Chaplain.

Then, ahead of kick-off, Manager Pep Guardiola will lay a wreath pitch side followed by a performance of the Last Post and a minute’s silence, observed by all in attendance.

All our Men’s First Team will wear a poppy on their shirts, and those worn by City players during the game will be donated and auctioned via Match Worn Shirt, with proceeds going to the Royal British Legion to raise money for the charity; as will the shirts worn by City players during last weekend’s home fixture against Bournemouth.

Earlier in the day, Military Veterans from City in the Community’s (CITC) programme will take on a symbolic challenge—walking 80 laps of the athletics track at the Manchester Tennis and Squash Centre.

Starting with an empty stretcher, they will add one tin of food for each lap completed, representing the weight of sacrifice carried by our veterans. The 80 tins collected will be donated to the Manchester City Supporters Food Bank to support those in need.

The veterans will complete their challenge at the Etihad Stadium moments before kick-off, walking onto the pitch to join fans, Club representatives and staff in a moment of remembrance.

Meanwhile, our Women’s team will pay their respects on Sunday when they visit Goodison Park for their Women’s Super League match against Everton. The shirts worn by City Women will also be donated to the Royal British Legion to raise money.

Our Academy Teams continue to reflect during the Remembrance period, taking part in a minute’s silence ahead of their fixtures around Remembrance Day.
