Premier League giants Arsenal have reportedly overtaken Inter Milan in the race to sign exit-bound Bayern Munich star Leon Goretzka.

According to German outlet Bild via FCInter1908, the Gunners are in pole position to land the 31-year-old star in the summer.

Inter Milan could undergo a midfield overhaul at the end of the season, with several long-serving stalwarts set to depart San Siro.

In addition to Henrikh Mkhitaryan, whose contract expires in June, Hakan Calhanoglu and Davide Frattesi are also facing uncertain futures.

Therefore, the runaway Serie A leaders have set their sights on Leon Goretzka, who will be out of contract in the summer.

Goretzka will not renew his deal in Munich, as he prepares to wave goodbye to the Allianz Arena after eight years.
