The Blues spent a then British transfer record to sign both players from Benfica and Brighton respectively in the January and summer windows of 2023.
Both Fernandez and Caicedo have gone on to establish themselves as key players in the project, and were a big part of the side which won both the Club World Cup and the Conference League last season.
Fernandez is the top scoring midfielder in the league this season with eight goals, but has been linked with both PSG and Real Madrid.
Caicedo has arguably been one of, if not the best midfielder in the league over the last 18 months, and it’s thought both he and Fernandez are looking for new deals.

As is the case with top players the likes of Real Madrid are said to have been sniffing around, but TEAMtalk have reported the Spanish giants are likely to explore alternative targets.
The report adds sources say both are settled at Stamford Bridge and aren’t looking for a move, whilst Chelsea are showing no willingness to negotiate for either player.
Whilst the Blues look set to keep hold of Fernandez and Caicedo, they are said to be looking for another midfielder to help ease the burden on the duo.
Chelsea have been linked with both Adam Wharton and Elliot Anderson, but are likely to face fierce competition from other clubs.
