Juventus have contacted Chelsea over a summer move for Christopher Nkunku with the Blues setting an asking price of £59m according to reports.

Chelsea face a critical window with the club looking to sign a striker, centre back and right footed attacker to strengthen Enzo Maresca’s squad.

The Blues could look to fund their business by selling as many as seven or eight players with a number of squad members surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge.

Juventus interested in Nkunku deal

Whilst incomings are important, outgoings are also crucial this summer, and one player the Blues are looking to move on is Nkunku.

The 27-year-old joined Chelsea in the summer of 2023 for £52m for RB Leipzig and despite a lot of excitement surrounding his arrival his time at Stamford Bridge has been a disaster.

Nkunku has struggled with injury issues and simply doesn’t suit Maresca’s system, with the France international failing to live up to expectation.

The Frenchman had interest from Bayern Munich in January, and Nkunku has made his decision to leave Chelsea this summer.

Interest from Bayern is thought to still be there, but TEAMtalk have reported Juventus are looking into a possible deal.

The report adds Juventus have asked for information on the situation and the cost of any potential deal.

TEAMtalk state Chelsea have set their asking price at £59m, with Juventus hoping to negotiate a lower fee, whilst Newcastle are also said to be interested.

Nkunku has been criticised for his performances and he’s managed just three goals and two assists in 27 Premier League appearances.

Joao Pedro a Chelsea target

Chelsea are looking to sign another attacker and have identified Brighton’s Joao Pedro as a target and are said to want to bring the 23-year-old in before the Club World Cup.

Pedro has scored ten goals and provided six assists in 27 league appearances this season, and would offer Chelsea a versatile forward option.

The Blues also hold an interest in Morgan Rogers, but a deal for the England international will be much harder to do, with Aston Villa said to want £90m.

Whoever Chelsea end up signing it’s vital they bring someone in who’s ready to make an impact and improves the first team.
