Inter Milan coach Cristian Chivu is reportedly plotting a major overhaul of his Scudetto-chasing squad at the end of the season.
According to Tuttosport via FCInter1908, the 45-year-old could slightly change Inter’s formation next term.
However, that’s largely thanks to the failed attempt to sign Ademola Lookman in the summer.
Inter have dropped interest in the Nigerian and are now looking to lure Giovane away from Hellas Verona.
Indeed, his arrival would facilitate the transition, offering Inter a much-needed versatility in the final third.
On the opposite end of the pitch, Yann Sommer will make way for a new goalkeeper as Inter won’t extend his expiring contract.
Tottenham Hotspur star Guglielmo Vicario has emerged as the likeliest candidate to take the Swiss veteran’s place between the sticks.

Francesco Acerbi, Matteo Darmian, and Stefan de Vrij are all expected to leave San Siro at the end of the season.
Their contracts will run out in June, with Inter reluctant to offer them fresh terms.
As such, they’ve already earmarked Sassuolo’s Tarik Muharemovic as their top defensive target.
Meanwhile, Davide Frattesi is on the verge of cutting ties with Inter, meaning a new midfielder is likely to arrive.
Indeed, he could find a new club in the coming weeks.
Manu Kone and Ederson remain the club’s dream signings, though their substantial price tags could throw a spanner in the works.
It’s still uncertain what will happen with Hakan Calhanoglu, who now looks closer to penning a new contract than leaving.
In case the Turkish superstar decides to leave, Inter could revisit their interest in Juventus ace Khephren Thuram.
However, the Turin giants have made it clear that they have no intention of selling the French midfielder.
