AC Milan have more good news, as after Niclas Fullkrug landed this evening, they finally terminated their contract with Divock Origi after months of talks with one of their worst signings of all time.
Multiple sources including La Gazzetta dello Sport, Sky Sport Italia and more all confirm that the agreement has been reached and the paperwork signed to terminate the contract by mutual consent.
It was only meant to run until June 2026, and he had been effectively frozen out for a year and a half, but refused to cut short the lucrative deal.
His last appearance in the Milan jersey was in May 2023.

Origi was signed as a free agent from Liverpool in July 2022, but proved to be one of the all-time worst transfers in the club’s history.
He made 27 appearances and scored two goals, against Monza and Sassuolo, then went on loan to Nottingham Forest for the 2023-24 campaign.
Despite returning to the club in July 2024, he never played again, dropped to the Milan Futuro youth team in a desperate bid to force him out.
It didn’t work, as the 30-year-old seemed content to continue picking up his wages without setting foot on the field.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, this contract was worth €300,000 per month, around €4m net per season.
It is claimed Origi didn’t even bother to train with the Milan Futuro side, instead travelling between Rome and Florence working with a personal trainer to stay in shape.
