Serie A pacesetters Inter Milan are reportedly hellbent on completing the signing of Hajduk Split prodigy Branimir Mlacic.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInter1908, the San Siro giants are one step away from landing the 18-year-old.
Hajduk Split turned down Inter’s opening bid for their in-demand teenager.
Indeed, the Croatian side deemed a €€54 million offer below their valuation of one of Europe’s most highly rated youngsters.
Therefore, Inter must draw up a new bid if they’re to beat Barcelona and Marseille to Mlacic’s signature.

Although their initial offer fell short of Hajduk’s requests, Inter remain in the driver’s seat.
Indeed, there’s a feeling that a €5 million bid will change Hajduk’s mind.
Since Beppe Marotta is determined to sign the talented center-back, the Nerazzurri are likely to improve terms.
As such, Branimir Mlacic could soon be on his way to Milan to complete his medicals.
