Inter Milan are no longer interested in Atalanta star Ademola Lookman after setting their sights on Hellas Verona youngster Giovane.
According to Tuttosport via FCInter1908, the San Siro giants have abandoned their pursuit of the Nigerian forward
Inter’s relentless effort to sign Ademola Lookman was among the major talking points during the summer transfer window.
However, a long-running transfer saga failed to come to fruition as Atalanta refused to negotiate the 28-year-old’s exit.

Though Inter were ready to splash around €45 million to acquire Lookman’s services, it wasn’t enough to convince Atalanta to sanction the transfer.
Therefore, the Nerazzurri decided to pull the plug on the deal.
Furthermore, with Oaktree setting a new transfer policy, Lookman no longer fits the bill.
Meanwhile, Giovane has now emerged as a better suited profile, especially after his remarkable performance on Sunday.
Indeed, the 21-year-old Brazilian scored his first Serie A goal in Verona’s 2-1 home defeat to none other than Inter.
Giovane’s impressive performance didn’t go unnoticed, with Inter adding him to their wishlist.
