Inter Milan goal-getter Marcus Thuram could leave Serie A in the summer, with several Saudi Pro League clubs reportedly interested in his services.
According to Tuttosport via FCInter1908, the 28-year-old could continue his career in the desert.
Out-of-form Marcus Thuram has been a shadow of his former self this season.
Indeed, the Frenchman has netted just seven goals in 22 Serie A appearances, last scoring against Sassuolo in early February.
Furthermore, he has immensely struggled in the absence of his attacking partner, Lautaro Martinez.
Meanwhile, Francesco Pio Esposito has capitalized on Thuram’s dip in form, stepping up to make a significant impact for Inter
With Cristian Chivu keen to build a new era at San Siro around Lautaro and Esposito, Thuram now appears surplus to requirements.
However, it’s hard to expect anyone to trigger his eye-watering €85 million release clause after such a disappointing season.
Nevertheless, he could find safe haven in the riches of Saudi Arabia, like several former Serie A stars, including Franck Kessie, Marcelo Brozovic, and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
Indeed, the Saudis are reportedly willing to offer Thuram lucrative terms to persuade him to leave San Siro in the summer.
