Inter Milan center-back Alessandro Bastoni is reportedly at risk of missing Saturday’s high-stakes Serie A home match against Atalanta.

According to Sky Sport Italia via L’Interista, the 26-year-old picked up a knock in last night’s loss to AC Milan.

In addition to losing star midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu to a muscle injury, Inter could also be without Bastoni on Saturday.

Indeed, the 32-year-old playmaker underwent detailed checks on his left thigh earlier this morning, with the tests revealing a slight strain.

As such, the former AC Milan ace will join Lautaro Martinez in the pits.

Inter Milan Could Face Atalanta Without Alessandro Bastoni

Calhanoglu’s absence is not the only injury concern for Cristian Chivu.

Indeed, Bastoni, who earned a yellow card for a tactical foul on Adrien Rabiot last night, had to limp off the pitch after that nasty collision.

With Bastoni in pain, Chivu had to introduce Carlos Augusto, who is likely to take the Italian’s place against Atalanta if the former fails to recover in time.
