Inter Milan could reportedly table a summer bid for Bologna rising star Santiago Castro as they prepare to wave goodbye to two first-team aces.
According to Calciomercato via FCInter1908, the Nerazzurri will part ways with Marko Arnautovic and Joaquin Correa.
Both players have expiring contracts at Giuseppe Meazza.
However, the reigning Serie A champions are unwilling to offer them fresh terms.
Therefore, they’ll depart at the end of the season.
Arnautovic could leave the club in January amid growing speculation linking him with a move to Torino.
On the other hand, Correa will likely run down his deal after turning down several foreign advances in the summer.
With Arnautovic and Correa edging closer to departures, Inter could turn to Castro to address the impending shortage of numbers.
The 20-year-old center-forward has flourished at Stadio Renato Dall’Ara after Joshua Zirkzee’s exit in the summer.
Indeed, he has soaked up the limelight as Bologna’s standout performer alongside Riccardo Orsolini.
Castro has clocked up four goals and three assists across 16 league appearances this season.
However, he won’t come cheap.
Bologna earned an eye-watering £36.5m from Zirkzee’s switch to Manchester United.
Therefore, it stands to reason they won’t let Castro leave for anything less.
