Serie A leaders Inter Milan are reportedly keen to tie veteran star Henrikh Mkhitaryan down to a new contract.
According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, the 37-year-old could finish his career at San Siro if both parties agree to a short-term extension.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan has entered the final five months of his contract.
Furthermore, his summer exit looked like a foregone conclusion until not long ago.
However, his impressive form appears to have convinced the Nerazzurri to change their stance.

Manager Cristian Chivu keeps Mkhitaryan in high esteem. Indeed, he has handed the former Roma ace 24 appearances across all competitions this term.
Meanwhile, Mkhitaryan has repaid the trust with a string of fantastic performances.
Therefore, Inter are reportedly contemplating offering him a new short-term deal.
It would see the Armenian ace hang up his boots at San Siro.
Otherwise, a return to his homeland could be on the cards. Moreover, several Saudi Pro League clubs have also set their sights on the versatile midfielder.
