Inter Milan will say goodbye to the likes of Matteo Darmian, Stefan de Vrij, and Francesco Acerbi in the summer of 2026.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInter1908.
Inter Milan have relied on veteran experience a lot in the last few seasons.
Stefan de Vrij joined the Nerazzurri from Lazio in the summer of 2018. Having been 26 when he joined the club, the Dutchman is now 33.
Meanwhile, Matteo Darmian joined Inter in 2020, aged 30 at the time. And Francesco Acerbi was already 34 when he arrived from Lazio in the summer of 2022.

Inter will rely on all of de Vrij, Acerbi, and Darmian next summer.
However, the Nerazzurri can hardly afford to keep the aging trio around for much longer.
Therefore, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport, all three of the veteran defenders will leave when their contracts expire.
All three are only under contract with Inter until the end of next June. Therefore, they’ve each got just one more season left.
