Report – Inter Milan To Sign Fifth Striker Even If Lookman Pursuit Falls Through | OneFootball

Inter Milan will reportedly sign a fifth striker this summer even in the event that their pursuit of Ademola Lookman falls through.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews.

Inter Milan have been pushing to sign Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman for several weeks.

The Nerazzurri’s pursuit of the Nigerian international has become the soap opera of the summer transfer window.

There is still no certainty on whether Inter will manage to land Lookman’s signature. However, the longer that the transfer saga drags out, the less likely it appears.

According to Sky Sport Italia, even if Inter are unable to sign Lookman, they will still sign a forward.

Right now, the Nerazzurri can call upon Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram, as well as summer signing Ange-Yoan Bonny and youth academy graduate Francesco Pio Esposito.

Meanwhile, Mehdi Taremi is expected to leave the club.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Inter simply do not believe that four forwards enough.

Attacking depth proved to be an Achilles’ heel for Inter last season.

Furthermore, new Nerazzurri coach Cristian Chivu wants to experiment with a 3-4-2-1 formation.

Therefore, Inter will sign one more forward this summer. Lookman or no Lookman.
