Everton have had a dreadful start to the season under Sean Dyche.
The Toffees are languishing in 15th in the Premier League after winning just two of their opening 12 matches.
The Merseyside outfit suffered a goalless draw to Brentford at Goodison Park on Saturday, with the result leaving them three points above the relegation zone.
Dyche is currently under enormous pressure, and he could lose his job in the coming weeks.
According to The Sun, David Moyes will be a target for Everton’s prospective new owner Dan Friedkin if Dyche is dismissed.
Friedkin is working on completing his takeover from Farhad Moshiri, with all the signs very positive of a change in the coming weeks.
The new regime reportedly wants Moyes to replace Dyche as the Scot knows the club well and what it takes to survive in the Premier League.
He would also be keen to take over at Goodison Park if the contract is right for him and he is convinced about the new owners, their ideas and the budget.
Moyes has been unemployed since leaving West Ham United at the end of last season.
The 61-year-old enjoyed a successful stint at the London Stadium. He twice saved the Hammers from relegation, and led them to Europa Conference League success.
However, Moyes’ negative brand of football led to criticism from many West Ham fans, and that ultimately led to his departure.
